Three Scallop Ladle

A broad, curved flat handle finished with three scallops at the end, set against a hammered bowl, gives this ladle a clear contrast between smooth handle and textured bowl. It belongs to the first design period of the Taller de las Delicias, the workshop Spratling founded in 1931.

The hand-hammered bowl ties the piece to the workshop's tradition of raised, textured holloware, while the scalloped terminal turns the handle into a designed element rather than a plain stem. This is serving silver conceived with the same care as the jewelry.
