This necklace is one form in Margot de Taxco's design 5701, the Fanciful Pendants suite. The auction description records the necklace at 17 inches long, made in sterling silver with turquoise enamel drops and stamped with the 5701 design number.
Seen on its own, the necklace shows how Margot converted a small pendant module into a rhythmic collar: rectangular blue enamel links lead to a fringe of pointed drops, each framed by silver and fired enamel. The design belongs to the enamel line she developed after the mid-1950s, when color became central to the workshop's identity.
The separate necklace page keeps this form distinct from the matching bracelet and ear clips, while preserving its place in the same numbered design family.
